Lakers eliminate Warriors in six games

The Lakers eliminated the defending champion Golden State Warriors with a 122-101 Game 6 victory at Crypto.com Arena on Friday, advancing to face the No. 1-seeded Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals. Closing out the series on Friday afforded the Lakers extra rest before the conference finals begin Tuesday. It wasn’t quite the 40-point thrashing that the Lakers used to knock out the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, but Friday’s victory was comprehensive with five Lakers scoring in double digits.
